Join MC Jonathan Healy and LEO Cork City for this 'Lunch and Learn' session, and hear from two well- known businesses who will share their experiences and focus on the importance of being resilient in your business. The event will also include the launch of “Business Development in Cork: An Entrepreneurs Guide 2024” by Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney T.D.

Jonathan Healy Resilience in Business

Jonathan Healy has spent a quarter of a century working at the highest levels of Irish broadcasting, having worked extensively with Newstalk, Sky News, RTE, and Cork’s RedFM. He established Healy Communications in 2017 with the express goal of helping businesses improve their storytelling.

A graduate of law from University College Cork, Jonathan has conducted thousands of interviews with people from all walks of Irish life. A skilled inquisitor and proven cross-platform content creator, he has cultivated extensive contacts across politics, business, and public relations throughout the country.

He also has strong links to the charity sector, serving as voluntary Chairman of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and board member of the Cork Midsummer Festival.

Jonathan is a proven event facilitator and engaging MC. He has also delivered high-impact voice-over work for corporate videos and campaigns. He passionately believes in the power of communication, and how it can be harnessed to support the needs of his clients.

Managing Director and owner of Vibes and Scribes, Joan Lucey is an award-winning, passionate small business owner in Cork City. With over 20 years of retailing experience in books, she diversified into Wool, Fabric, and Craft supplies and has three stores in Cork City with a thriving online business. Vibes and Scribes is one of just five Cork City stores to make it on to the Retail Excellence Ireland Top 100 stores in 2019, winning National Bookstore of the Year that same year.

 

  • Donncha O'Callaghan (Broadcaster and UNICEF Ambassador) 

DonnchaDonncha O’Callaghan is a retired Irish International Rugby player, Radio and TV Broadcaster and Author. O’Callaghan spent 17 seasons with Munster, winning five major trophies. Internationally, Donncha has been capped more than 94 times for Ireland and was part of the team that won the Six Nations Grand Slam in 2009.

Donncha presents ‘2FM Breakfast with Doireann, Donncha and Carl’ on RTÉ 2FM weekday mornings from 6am-9am. He is a regular face on our TV screens, appearing as a Coach on ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’.

In 2011, Donncha released his auto-biography entitled ‘Joking Apart: My Autobiography’. His book is a fascinating account of a storming career battling personal setbacks and disappointments to achieve success and reaching the high-performance standards required of an International Rugby Player.

Donncha is regularly invited to speak about his experience learning to work as part of a team as well as delivering talks on leadership and achieving, building and maintaining high performance. Donncha has been an Ambassador with UNICEF since 2009.
