About Cork City Enterprise Board

Background

Cork City Enterprise Board was established in 1993 by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr. Ruari Quinn, T.D. Thirty five enterprise boards nationwide were set up as part of a government initiative to encourage entrepreneurship at local level. The Board is a limited company by guarantee and comprises three staff members and a Board of Directors. Funding for the Board is provided by the Irish Government and European Union structural funds.

Cork City has a strong and successful small business sector. At Cork City Enterprise Board our goal is to ensure the continued growth and success of micro enterprises in the region.
