How does CCEB select projects for funding?

The Evaluation Committee carefully assess each application for financial assistance. They then make a recommendation to the Board regarding:

(a)  The amount of funding that should be granted

(b) The manner in which the funding should be made available

When assessing applications, the Evaluation Committee pay particular attention to:

  • Overall commercial viability of the project
  • Possible benefits to the local community e.g. employment
  • Access to other sources of funding by project promoter(s)
  • Cost effectiveness
  • Possible displacement of existing jobs / businesses

All projects must adhere to the Board's criteria for assistance in order to be considered for financial aid.
