Who are Cork City Enterprise Board?



Cork City Enterprise Board is responsible for supporting and promoting the economic growth and development of small businesses in Cork City.

We are one of 35 enterprise boards nationwide responsible for developing the micro-enterprise sector at local level. We provide a range of financial and business support packages to small start-up businesses as well as existing businesses looking to expand.

Cork City Enterprise Board was established in 1993 by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr. Ruari Quinn, T.D. Thirty five enterprise boards nationwide were set up as part of a government initiative to encourage entrepreneurship at local level. The Board is a limited company by guarantee and comprises three staff members and a Board of Directors. Funding for the Board is provided by the Irish Government and European Union structural funds.
